Since September, the NRP 82 projects have been presenting their work every two months at the NRP 82 colloquium. The first was the project "Assisted migration of threatened plant species".

Since September, NRP 82 has been meeting online every two months, on the first Tuesday of the month, for the NRP 82 colloquium, alternating with the projects’ learning groups. The aim is to get to know one another, to follow how the projects are progressing in their research and in their collaboration with practice, and to lay the foundations for the synthesis. The project "Assisted migration of threatened plant species" opened the series on 1 September. Many rare mountain plants cannot keep pace with the climate-driven shift in their habitats. In Zermatt, the team led by Jake Alexander (ETH Zurich), Sabine Rumpf (University of Basel), Christophe Randin (Alpine Botanical Garden Flore-Alpe, Champex-Lac) and Sonja Wipf (University of Basel) is examining the conditions under which targeted relocation can protect rare species. The team also spoke openly about the hurdles of transdisciplinary work: terms that different participants understand differently; a legal framework and a methodology that do not fit together; trust that takes time.
