Head of Transdisciplinarity for NRP 82 appointed
The SNSF has appointed Leonhard Späth as Head of Transdisciplinarity for the National Research Programme "Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services" NRP 82.
The SNSF has appointed Leonhard Späth, currently Senior Assistant at the Transdisciplinarity Lab (TdLab) and Sustainable Agroecosystems (SAE) groups at the ETH Zürich, as Head of Transdisciplinarity of the National Research Programme "Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services" (NRP 82). Leonhard Späth will support the transdisiciplinary set-up and and ensure impact monitoring of NRP 82. As a first step, he will provide training and coaching in TD aspects during the preparatory phase, which will start in August 2024.
Research in NRP 82 will start in August to October 2025 with the aim of understanding the challenges facing, and opportunities offered by biodiversity and ecosystem services. Further the programme will develop practical solutions for their conservation and sustainable use.
